Davina White received her Bachelor’s Degree in English from Northern Arizona University. She has plied her writing skills in several industries over the years, gaining experience in corporate communications. However, while attending Canyon Church of Christ, she discovered a passion for teaching. Over the last 20 years, she has been active in teaching and serving in both the Children’s and Youth Ministries. While continuing in that volunteer role, she also stepped away from the corporate cubicles and began freelance editing and copywriting, which included editing college theses and dissertations.

She is both humbled and excited at how God has led her through these experiences, to bring her to being a tutor with Ignite, which combines all the things she loves – teaching, writing, and her faith. She is excited to help students learn how to craft a message and communicate well. She loves seeing those “light bulb” moments, when an idea or concept clicks with a student.

Davina is a native of Phoenix and in her spare time you can most likely find her laughing around a table with her board gaming group. Both her and her husband, Shawn, also love the arts and are avid readers, museum-explorers, and concert-goers. Her husband is an adjunct professor in Apologetics at Arizona Christian University and they both remain active with various apologetics and worldview training ministries.
