Natalie Heckman

Natalie Heckman received her bachelor’s degree in 2010 from Northern Arizona University. She spent many years while her children were young teaching and running an in-home bakery. In 2020, Natalie and Garrett—now married for 16 years—felt called by God to homeschool their three children, and she quickly found a deep love for the homeschool community. She has been devoted to their education ever since.

Outside the classroom, Natalie enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. Much of her free time is also spent alongside her husband cheering on and coaching their kids in various sports and activities. They have a son in 10th grade and two daughters in 7th and 8th grade this year.

Natalie is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences rooted in both academic excellence and Biblical truth. Her approach to teaching history emphasizes its relevance to our modern world and the clear evidence of God’s hand throughout time. She hopes to help students see history not just as a list of facts, but as a powerful testimony of God’s dominion and a guide for how to live wisely today.
