B.S. Elementary Ed., M.A. ECE

Tamara McClure is an Arizona native who began her education at Northern Arizona University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education. She taught for four years in the Peoria School District before pausing her classroom career to raise her family.

After her first child turned five, Tamara began a fifteen-year homeschooling journey with her five children until she began the next step that God had for her which included fourteen years teaching at Northwest Christian School. During this time, she mentored student teachers and provided before-and after-school tutoring for at-risk students with reading challenges.

Most recently, Tamara completed training through Education 101 as a certified brain trainer and continues to offer private tutoring for students who need additional support in reading. She is excited to return to her roots within the homeschool community.

In her free time, Tamara finds joy in Bible studies, church and spending time with her adult children and three grandsons. She also enjoys hiking, going to the gym, board games, cards and shopping. Tamara is looking forward to her second year at Ignite and is extremely excited to meet all of you.
